Bluetooth LE can be used to communicate smart meter data to our smartphones app to track energy consumption. Some prepaid smart meters also use Bluetooth low energy to replace meter charge cards in some countries to enable access to electricity. It can typically record energy near real-time, and report regularly in short intervals throughout the day.
